One of the most amazing features of today's mobile technology is the ability of sending and receiving email on our phone or mobile devices. Years ago, this is possible only with one's personal computer. But nowadays, due to amazing advancement in the field of mobile apps development, we can configure not just one but many email accounts with our mobile phones. iPhone is one phone which is renowned for its amazing internet browsing feature and emailing features.
Apple the iPhone maker has made email setup so easy that once you learnt it, you will be able to do with your eyes closed. You can configure both business as well as personal email accounts on your iPhone and send/receive emails directly from and to your iPhone. You can setup all types of email accounts, Outlook, Google, AOL, Mobileme, etc.
To set up you email on your iPhone, you can follow the easy steps which follows.
1. First, go to the iPhone settings menu. Select “Mail, Contacts, Calendars”. You will be shown at the top of the screen a list of email accounts which you have already configured to your phone (this is if you have configured). In order to add another or a new email account, you need to select “Add Account”.
Now, you will be taken to a list of email service providers as shown below. Click on the service provider if it is included in the list, if not, click on “Other”.
To proceed, enter you name, you email address, password and as description of your email account. When this is done, press the “Next” tab which is in the top right corner of the iPhone's screen. The phone will now process, verify and configure you email account. (this may take minutes)
Once the previous step is done, there will be a pop up (as shown in the image below) giving you options to provide settings of your email account like features which you would like to sync with your iPhone. To sync your calendar and notes with your iPhone you may have choose manually.
Now, your email is configured with your iPhone. Indeed this is easy and the whole credit goes to iPhone and mobile technology as a whole.
