There is one more thing to mention that the text within the comment tags is never displayed on the page. Coders would put keywords in the comment tags which is not seen by the users but can be seen by the search engines which will help in indexing the site in the search engine results page.
Being one person working in a software development company I would like to tell you that using white text on a white background in your attempt to hide certain content in your website can have your site banned by search engine.

How should your website content be? What is more important, keyword or information? Your website content should have balance between the two so that your site has a great impact on search engines and also the visitors. For instance, you own an IT outsourcing company, you should have relevant content so that your visitors will come back for the second time.
Keywords indeed is important but overs-stuffing the keywords can also be a problem. Different search engine has different criteria for keywords density. The average optimum keyword density in percentage would be well between 5-8 percent where exceeding this may have your site marked down by search engines.

One factor which can help you in bringing your site up the SERP rank is the quality of incoming links. To have incoming links you need to link your site to some related sites. But in doing this you may also remember that you should not do overdo it and each incoming link should be related to your site's content. You may use the keywords of your site as the text of the links.
These are the steps you can follow if you want to do the SEO part of your site yourself. If the steps I provided since the last three posts, you will be successful in bringing your site up in the search engines results page.

SEO work is quite lenghty and time consuming and it takes a long time to improve results through SEO so i think its better to outsource your seo and development work to some outsourcing web development company and let them handle this for you.
