As a continuation to my previous post on how to manage one's online reputation, today I'll give you three more ways to manage one's online reputation.
If you own a software development company or any other service providing company and you are looking for a domain name. One thing you should know is that there is not just one company but thousands and getting your choice of domain name will be hard. You first need to visit a web hosting company and purchase a domain name. Make experiments with the domain name in such a way it remains relevant to you or the service you are providing. Get you domain established in the form of a dot com (example.com). Once you get it done, you can start publishing a web page with your personal or company profile.
The next tip will be to start blogging under your or the company's name. Blogger is one of the most popular blogging tool and you may consider starting there (or here perhaps). In the blog you can post information about yourself or the company. Popular blog or recognized by search engines and hence this can be a way you can control the information about you or the company available online. You may also consider signing up or Technorati and other blog review sites and submit your blog for reviews. This in return enhance your search engine ranking.
Another way of easily managing your online reputation is using free press releases. You are to post favorable information about yourself or the company in order to bring down your negative reputation. Ensure that you use your name in the press release and also the title. If you have an IT outsourcing company, you are to mention the name of your company.
Authoring article and marking your presence in other social networking sites is also helpful. So, managing your online reputation is not that hard. You can start it right away.
